Connect your ESP32 gateway

This guide is for the SolarLynk ESP32 gateway and an EyeBond WiFi Plug Pro. You only need your home Wi-Fi password and a one-time pairing code.

  1. Step 1

    Power the gateway

    Connect the ESP32 with its USB cable and wait for the setup light. Keep it near your router and inverter.

  2. Step 2

    Open SolarLynk Setup

    Join the protected SolarLynk Setup Wi-Fi with password SolarLynk-Setup, then open 192.168.4.1. A supplied QR code can do the same thing when available.

  3. Step 3

    Choose your home Wi-Fi

    Select your 2.4 GHz home network and enter its password. The gateway checks the connection before saving it.

  4. Step 4

    Find the WiFi Plug Pro

    The gateway searches the home network automatically. You never need to enter an IP address, port, or protocol number.

  5. Step 5

    Confirm live data

    When the Plug Pro answers with a valid EyeBond frame and PI30 identity, SolarLynk registers it and opens the dashboard.

How SolarLynk recognizes the Plug Pro

A Plug Pro may report a part number, or PN, in its EyeBond heartbeat. SolarLynk treats PN only as optional supporting evidence. Every accepted device must still pass bounded EyeBond routing and a checksum-valid, read-only PI30 identity check.
